Mrs. Sara Carpenter
(She/Her/Hers)
Registered Therapeutic Counselling
I became a counsellor because I believe something deeply: that every person, when they feel safe enough to remove the mask, is someone worth knowing.
In my years of sitting with people — children, teens, parents, and adults — I have yet to be proven wrong.
My name is Sara, and I work with people who are carrying more than they want to carry. Maybe that’s anxiety that follows you everywhere, relationships that feel strained in ways you can’t quite name, or a quiet sense that somewhere along the way, you lost touch with who you are. I work in a way that honours both your mind and your body — because in my experience, lasting change rarely happens in just one place. Drawing on mindfulness, person-centred care, attachment theory, and somatic awareness, I follow your lead. We go at your pace. Nothing is forced, nothing is rushed.
For children, I bring playfulness and patience — meeting them in the language that comes most naturally to them. For teens and adults, I offer a space that is honest, warm, and free of judgment. For parents, I hold deep respect for how hard the work of loving another person truly is.
My hope for every person I sit with is simple: that they leave feeling a little more like themselves than when they arrived.
I’d be honoured to hear your story.
